PCM Reprogramming Services - I will reprogram PCM's to remove anti-theft
(VATS), disable rear oxygen
sensors and other emission related components, (off road right?) change fan on and off temps,
injector size, engine displacement etc. However I won't be able to offer
custom tunes for modified engines. (aftermarket cam, heads etc)$75 including
return USPS shipping to do this ($150 for
Gen IV Vortec). I will get you're PCM sent back out usually the
next business day after I receive it. Please remove any brackets. I
use USPS Priority Mail for all PCM shipping. Please
read to the bottom, there is a lot of important info I need to know to properly
program your PCM. Email address and shipping address is at the bottom of
this page. Bottom of this page has shipping address and a link to PayPal
for payment! Thanks.
I have gotten a lot of questions if I
was still doing programming, answer is YES, I have not stopped doing
programming, nor do I plan to at all.. Thanks, Brendan - 11/6/2012
**** If you have a spare wire harness or PCM for any LT1, LS1,
Vortec Truck - any engine, I would trade programming service for your harness.
Even if it is butchered up, cut wires, plugs missing, I will likely work out a
deal with you!
I can program for the following Vehicles:
$75.00 for ANY of those Listed, INCLUDES return
shipping!!!
1990-1992 Camaro TPI (Tuned Port Injected) -
Custom Chips
2007+ Pickup's and SUV's with Vortec 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2 -

For OBD1 vehicles with removable MEMCAL's I can help you
as well. Send me your MEMCAL and I will read it, remove the stock EPROM,
and install a flash able EEPROM. I can also remove VATS, disable trouble
codes, etc. To see a list of supported vehicles visit
www.tunercat.com. If I don't have
your vehicle that is on the list, I will purchase it at no extra cost to you.
For $75.00
including shipping, I will do this for you. Visit this page to see what it
is I do to the MEMCAL's.
BASIC INFORMATION NEEDED FOR REPROGRAM
Engine Type & Year: Please let me know if PCM does
not match the engine exactly. GM used different injector sizes, fuel rail
types etc across engine's and years. It's important for best performance
to know exactly what the engine is. Also, if you plan to swap
intakes from another engine (LS1 intake on a 5.3L vortec) I NEED TO KNOW THIS.
Supplying an 8 digit injector number found on side of each injector will always
help insure correct flow rate is programmed into the PCM.
Transmission Type & Year: On most applications, I can
disable automatic trans controls if you wish to use a TH350, TH400, 700R4 ect.
Please read on below for info about the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) I do
need to know if you will use a manual trans or not.
Rear Axle Ratio: see info below for 'Tire Size or Height'
Tire Size or Height When using electronic transmission,
this info is only needed if you need a calibrated speed sensor signal output to
run a stock type speedometer. I can program the PCM in most cases to
output the proper speed signal to use the stock speedometer in 88+ GM Trucks,
Jeeps, etc, about anything with electronic speedo from factory. Most of
the aftermarket speedometers are programmable, and the output from the PCM does
not need to be exact.
Remove Emissions? (this includes EGR, AIR
Injection, EVAP System, Rear Oxygen Sensors on 1996+) You may choose to keep EGR
but remove the rest. Let me know and I can keep what you want.
Typically If you say remove emissions, I remove them all. Keep in mind, I
only disable the diagnostic test the PCM performs on these components. If you
keep them hooked up, they will still function, with exception to EGR. EGR
operation changes ignition timing, so If I disable it, it will not function at
all.)
Remove Computer Controlled A/C? (this is to delete the
computer controlled a/c functions. If you have aftermarket A/C unit, or
using original A/C wiring from you're vehicle, you do not need the computer
controlled A/C. If you wish to use computer controlled A/C, all sensors,
switches, etc from the vehicle the engine came out of will have to be used.
Also, you do not need an A/C idle up, the engine will detect the load on the
engine and adjust idle controller to maintain idle speed.)
Is this an Engine Swap, or original Engine/Vehicle. (some
things I disable in the computer has to do with the PCM communication with other
devices in the original vehicle. If PCM is staying in original vehicle,
its important I know this.)
Mass Air Flow Sensors (MAF canbe
removed from most vehicles if required, however I recommend using it if at all
possible to improve drivability)
Cooling Fan Controls (let me know if you have electric
fans you wish to control by the PCM. I can set the on/off points based on
the thermostat you have in the engine. Also, if you're vehicle did not
have electric fans from the factory, I can usually turn on the function and
provide the pin locations, wire and pins to wire up electric fans/relays.)
VSS - If using a non electronic trans, You should KEEP a vehicle speed sensor regardless of what
transmission type you use. The PCM needs to know if vehicle is moving.
Without the speed sensor, you can suffer from reduced fuel economy, reduced
power, and idle problems. There are a few options for speed sensors on the
transmissions with cable drive output. View this link at
Dakota Digital website. I have used Dakota Digital SEN-4160 with good
success. This is a 8000 pulse per mile sensor, that will allow cable
speedometer hookup. I can program most any PCM to accept any # of speed
pulses. (1996, 1997 Black Box Vortec PCM will not accept 8000 pulse input)
Also check out www.jagsthatrun.com for
other speed sensor options. (Must output a SINE wave signal, or A/C Voltage)
4x4 vehicles with manual transfer cases and ELECTRONIC
TRANSMISSIONSmust have speed sensor located between the transmission and
the transfer case. There are aftermarket companies that offer an
adaptor that fits the sensor in this location.Anytime you use an
electronic transmissions, must keep 40 pulse per driveshaft revolution. If
you have a TH350, TH400, or manual transmission, then it really doesn't matter
where the speed sensor is located or the # of pulses, just so PCM knows vehicle is moving, as
stated above. Check Novak Conversions
for information on adapting transfer cases to 4L60E and other transmissions.
These adaptorsinclude a speed sensor. Keep in mind I need to know
# of pulses and tire size/gear ratio when programming.
Email is by far the best way to contact me, it gives me a
record of conversations so I can better assist with you're needs. I will
gladly give a contact phone number where I can be contacted if requested.
$75.00 includes return shipping for PCM programming.
Please include the return shipping address inside the box, as well as contact
information. Below is a ''Buy Now'' button you can use to send a
PayPal payment to me, or you can include a money order with the PCM when you
send it. Expect 2-3 day turn around time. I usually ship with US
Postal Service, medium flat rat boxes, so if you require different delivery
methods, please let me know. Next Day shipping is available. See the
