    Hello! Thanks for the add.

Hi all, I am currently swapping an LQ4/4L80E into a 1986 Toyota Cressida.

    Thanks,
    Adam

i had an 86 cressida too, i loved that car.

i take it by the transmission choice that this isn't a drift car...

are you going to use the factory dashboard somehow?

    Hey steveo!

No, not planning on drifting, just wanted a cruiser. I'm even contemplating trying to use the factory wheels with a wider tire. Did yours have the digital dash too? I love it, I am planning on getting the dash to work as it should. I'm aiming for everything to look and function like the Cressida did from the factory. Time will tell how it all goes though. One thing I can say is, at the risk of stating the obvious, the 4L80E DOES NOT fit in the the trans tunnel. Haha.

    Cheers,
    Adam

yeah i had the dash, worked perfectly. reverse engineering it might be interesting. there is a lot of crazy stuff going on in that car, and lots of mid 80s japanese cars in general.
