Any intetest in a 58x Crank and 4x Cam dual sync distributor pickup setup?

I am gauging interest. I am talking with someone that could make this a reality. Just trying to figure out if I am the only one in the world that wants to be able to do this. It would be based off an aluminum Vortec distributor base. It could be used to run a 4.3L, SBC, Big Block or a W engine without having to remove the timing cover. It would require a PCM like an E38, E67 or E78 amd matching harness. Would need the LS coils, GenIV accelerator pedal and DBW throttle body and a 4 bolt drive by wire compatible EFI intake. That being said would allow for someone to easily run a 6L80E or 6L90E transmission behind the older engines, have the parts availabilty of stock GM sensors, stock GM PCM, etc.

Also by the same respect looking at setting up a 2 piece timing cover option for another method of doing the same thing. The E38 LS swap harness are cheap now and everybody has some kind of adapter option to bolt a 4 bolt LS throttle body to a 4150 flanged EFI intake now. LS coils, throttle bodies and the sensors needed are dirt cheap compared to a standalone that would otherwise be required. The timing cover option would mount a 24x/1x or 58x/4x tone ring behind the timing cover and even with a 2-piece timing cover would be a fraction of the cost of EFI Connections setup to do the same. The 2 piece timing cover would allow cam swaps or timing chain replacement without the need to drop the oil pan. I have seen his LT1 2 piece cover setup and it is a work of art as is his external 36x crank and cam sensor setup for the standalone system he runs. His is like an 1,800 hp LT1 as well.

Pcm selection needs some planning also. Needs to have good tuning suite and can be easily reconfigured.
e78 can run natively some classic express van with older style engines, and will be much easier to adapt to t43 controller. They are dirt cheap also and easy to find, Lots of 4 cylinder use them. not sure about matching TB pcm slave code and TAC pedal.
Best bet will be to rip some express van with all needed accessories.

Oh I am using a 2009 TBSS E67 in mine atleast for now. It communicates with the T42 I will be running the 4L85E on and it has been used to run the T43. The 2009 TBSS o/s also had the last of the analog cruise control and VSS outputs for the ABS and speedometer. It will work with the 08+ van pedal and TBSS used the same 87mm DBW throttle body as my Indmar MCX manifold came with and I have 3 spares of. I will need to overcome the lack of a/c input and output but I believe they make an inexoensive plug in can module to do that, otherwise I will just bypass the a/c control via PCM. I have a brand new GM E78 Express harness to repin, convert to standalone and marry to the rest of my vans OE engine harness, and a new E67 and T42. Need to snag the T42 to 4L80E harness from a wrecking yard for a van or truck. They are a fairly stand alone harness in some years.
