Looking to finish a crossfire build.

Just curious... why not use the '94 - '95 7427 pickup ecm?
Gearhead-EFI link for 16197427 information: https://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-In...Information-0D
The 16197427 has great support and when using an emulator (Ostrich 2.0 from Moates) the 16197427 is flash similar to Dynamic EFI computers.

Yes, the 7427 was originally used to control two injectors on V8 engines in '94-'95 trucks with an automatic transmission. It's also got built in support for electronically shifted overdrive transmissions. I am using one in my '57 Chevy truck to control the 302 crossfire. If your crossfire is not using nitrous or other add-ons, it could work well with Crossfire. Not aware I could use a 7427 ecm.
now that moates is back open and the ostrich supports tunerpro....I guess my question is does the 7427 ecu plug in the same as the 7747 ecu? or does it need new connectors/repinned? I've got a stand alone harness and an ebl flash II ecu but if I can use one that has built-in control for a 4l80e that would be nice...and I'm tinkering with tunerpro with my quarterhorse in my mustang anyway so there is that compared to this completely different whats up program with the ebl...
The 1227747 has two black computer connectors. The 16197427 has one Red / one Blue computer connector. Re-pinning the computer connectors would be required to use the 16197427.
The EBL does not control either 4L60E or the 4L80E transmission. Some EBL users have grafted the 16197427 alongside the EBL to operate a 4L60E / 4L80E.
is there any reason not to be able to use the 161686265? its a 93 computer. e6 mask. aside from the 95 added functions all pins appear to be the same.
johnnb5423 is your question for me or the other conversation?

it was for whomever was directing the use of a 7427 in lieu of an ebl. i suppose the answer may interest you as well. i believe but not certain the main flaw is not able to operate a 4l80e. again not sure. hence the question.
To the best of my knowledge Dynamic EFI is permanently closed.
To the best of my knowledge, the 16197427 is the only Blue / Red TBI PCM that GM used for Manual Transmissions, and both 4L60E / 4L80E transmissions.
For what it’s worth, I was unsuccessful when I tried using the 16168625 on a 4L80E. Once I installed the 16197427 the 4L80E worked. For what it’s worth, I installed the same chip and Memcal that was in the 16168625.
