    Trouble getting lean cruise to work

    First I'd like to say thank you for the open source community making this stuff available. My LS swap Beretta, my 8.1 truck and my 4.3 Blazer have all benefitted.👌
    I'm using a P01 with 2156 Camaro T56 bin with a 4.8 segment swap and the car spark tables. I've applied the LC patch, but my wideband still shows ~stoich during cruise.
    I'm not sure I understand the LC table. It's active in the 0.16-0.48 g/sec range, but my datalog during cruise shows like 10-30 g/sec, which is way high even when divided by 8 (I'm assuming).
    Is there something I have setup wrong?
    Years ago I was able to make lean cruise work in TunerPro for my 3400 swap Beretta and it made a difference in MPG. I'm attempting to match the v6's 30mpg with this little 4.8...best I've done yet is 26. Seems like it should be possible with similar gearing, weight and COD to a Corvette and less displacement.🤷

    Once you apply the patch you need to copy some tables, and than tune them by your needs. Usually the tables are defaulted to zeroes and LC don`t trigger even if you have it.

    g per cyl is different than maf measured airflow, 0.8 is around WOT Na, see other scalars that trigger LC

    I think the values in this table adds to afr or is some scalar.

    All parameters that came up in a "lean cruise" search in TunerPro and "LC" in UniversalPatcher are populated...with, I'm guessing, the OEM Holden values I keep reading about. There's about 6 of them. I posted a screenshot of the 3d table. It's labeled G per cyl...so shouldn't the measured MAF grams /8 match up?

    This is the description:
    LC_Fuel_Delta
    Returns the target for Lean EQ based on the engine load. , Units: Equiv_Ratio
    When Lean Cruise is active, this value will be subtracted from an EQ Ratio of 1.0 to determine the commanded EQ Ratio. ** CAUTION ** Running your engine too lean may cause damage, ensure you are not running too lean when in lean cruise mode with a WBO2 sensor.

    Re: Trouble getting lean cruise to work

    You could not be hitting the B3634 - Lean Cruise Run Time Enable and B3635 - Lean Cruise Off Idle Timer values. The patch in the XDf has values of 150 seconds. To satisfy the B3635 the engine has to be off idle for 150 seconds. I would try lowering those values to 30 seconds.

    The snippet you posted shows your speed to be around 55 Kph, that is around 34 Mph. Make sure that your enable and disable speed settings are in the correct range. Finally the patch does not apply a value to B3638 - Lean Cruise Enleanment Rate. I would suggest using 0.0010 as a starting point. The closer this number is to 1, the faster Lean Cruise will get to the lean rate. Also, as suggested above, please post your bin.

    To fully enable the patch you need to flash OS, calonly flash will not work. There is 2 patches, first will patch OS, the other will populate the LC tables.

    Pulse_GTO can you provide the address for b3638 in 7603 OS for revision. Thanks

    The parameter is located at E232-->E233.

    Re: Trouble getting lean cruise to work

    Here is the latest patch the enleanment table is included and labelled
    LC_EQ_Step_Size

    Some simple instruction how to use it,
    extract attached file to patches folder

    ->open a 2001+ ls1 bin
    ->utilites->apply patch
    ->select->P59-LeanCruise.xmlpatch
    ->apply
    ->utilites->apply patch
    ->select->LC_defaultTables2.xmlpatch
    ->apply
    ->save bin stating it have lc enabled
    ->flash OS+cal data to pcm

    Than if you want to tune out LC parameters
    open patched bin
    in the filter box type LC_

    all lean cruise parameters will be visible for tune up.

    After fine adjustments save bin and flash CAL data only to pcm.

    Curious if that patch is enabling LC without changing the platform type.

    For sure, it ignores the platform type jump and goes straight to lean cruise code.

    Whoops, that's embarrassing! Nice catch, I forgot that log was in kph. Here's a snap showing 100kph (above the speed threshold).

    There's also a copy of the bin I just patched via Kur4o's instructions. Thank you. According to the notes I'm reading, it looks like this will work.

    Is this patch also compatible with 8322, 2088 or 9405? The Beretta is buried in snow hibernating, but I can test it on my truck and Blazer in the meantime.

    Re: Trouble getting lean cruise to work

    It will work for any OS that is 2001+

    earlier OS don`t even have code for lean cruise, so it is not possible to add with a simple jump switch.
