Alright. I've downloaded a few different bin files. None seem to be for the 16196397 pcm. The revision 3 bins originally posted by RobertISaar have the 94-95 F body m/t as 16217091. Guess I'll have to use FlashHack and see if I can download the original.

Forgive the incessant posting. I saw this post by Robert: https://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-In...ll=1#post27902

Does that mean the later number, 16203291, was an upgraded flash for the 16196397?

I've built a little VATS spoof module. Puts out 49-52hz depending on the voltage. At 12.7v it's just under 51hz, at 12v it's right at 50hz. My TTL level serial cable showed up and tests good with Flash Hack.

Are you able to read the .bin file from the 16196397 computer? Maybe share the .bin file in this thread.

Once I get it hooked up and read, I will. That’s probably after the new year. Our ‘72 C20 project is currently at the top of the pile. ZZ3 crate motor, 4L80E, VintageAir AC. It’s our shop truck project.

Bought a spare ECM with the same primary and secondary part numbers. Going to test it on my bench and pull the bin out of it. The wiring diagrams list A B and C connectors, meanwhile they're physically blue, black, and white (clear). It seems that white (clear) is connector A, black is connector B and blue is connector C.

The ECU connectors should have been delivered today. Going to dump the ECU. Should I just post the files here or some other spot?

Here's the bin I pulled with Flash Hack. I seem to have a bit of an issue, though. When I load it up in TunerPro, pretty much every value is at minimum. I've loaded up the xdf P66V6. What am I missing here?

Tried both the stable and beta versions of Flash Hack. No go. Got the same results above. Used TunerCat WinFlash and got the attached file.

If anyone has any idea what I may have done wrong, I'd love to hear it.

Try a .bin file in the P66 V6.zip folder.

When I use FlashHack to pull the bin off the ECU, i get stuff that's wrong. When I used WinFlash, I got a file where the values made sense. That's the second bin I uploaded (V3). I tried both universal ADL and P66 with FlashHack and didn't get anything right out of it. When I use TunerPro to compare, my V3 bin looks very similar to the bin you note, Dave.

I have not used FlashHack on a P66 ECM.

I have not used WinFlash on a P66 ECM.

I've used FlashHack on dozens of LT1 PCM without issue.

I have use WinFlash on dozens of LT1 PCM without issue.

I like a plan using TunerCats for the P66, both Tuner and Definition file.

Re: Gathering info for '93 L32 swap into '76 MG Midget

While I'm at work, I don't have much at my disposal. I can look at a hex editor, though. I have two '94 V6 F-Body bins. Compared them, they are identical and match what is available here on GearHead. Compared that to the bin I pulled with WinFlash. Found the first 4 bytes of both 32k chunks were different and two other bytes. Looked through the P66 XDF from here, and I didn't figure out what the first 4 bytes meant, but the first 4 bytes at 32k (0x8000) appear to be the T-Side Module part number (whatever that means). Hex to decimal gives me 16203268. Seems to follow the numbering convention, at least. The other two bytes that are different are at 0x821C and 0x821D. These appear to be values related to DTC 24, again if I'm reading the XDF correctly.

Regardless, the difference in only a total of 10 bytes leads me to believe I got a good read with my setup and WinFlash. Now to mess around with FlashHack until I get the same file out of it...
