    TBI Limp Mode/NETRES Question

I have a 7747 ecu for a TBI truck and am trying to figure out what problems would cause the ecu to go into limp mode. I know from experience if the MAP vacuum line is disconnected that it will barely run for a minute then clear up pretty good when I assume it swaps over to the netres chip.

I'm wanting to put a Quadrajet on my truck for a while to play around with it and learn tuning a carb and what they are actually like to drive. I'll be reverting back to the TBI when I've had my fun, and I started to think if I could retain the ECU and computer controlled HEI. I'm thinking that all the computer would see is that both injectors are disconnected and nothing else. I would test if this would work real quick but it's hard to test when the engine needs injectors to run lol. I would imagine they are the same but I have a

Any advice or knowledge imparted would be appreciated.
