Re: 260z project that needs some tuning help

Good morning, I have been through a lot of the different tabs in tuner pro and none of them get me to anything. The one pic is what it says when I try to download the file. I looks like there isn't a file in the emulator, but when boosted put the adaptor in my ecm they put the file that was on the chip that was in the ecm on the emulator at that time. I'm sure boosted put it on the emulator because it runs the same as it did before boosted did the work to the ecm.
I want this car to run good so bad I can taste it.
Thanks for the help and your time, I appreciate it more than you know.

To get things working it appears TunerPro RT requires a .bin file / .xdf file / .adx files to be loaded so the emulator will upload ~ download ~ emulate.

I found another place that might work, but I wasn't sure if I should do it, see pic.

I also found that same prompt threw the tools tab and then enable live tuning and then download bin to file this popped up.

Please attach, to this thread, the .bin, .xdf, and .adx files you are using.

Re: 260z project that needs some tuning help

The problem I'm having is I got this ecm as a kit and it has a number on it (16146288) that doesn't match anything that GM made, so I don't have any codes for the program it has in it. I think with all the help trying to get the file out of the emulator, the best way from here is to send one of the chips I have to someone that can extract the code from the chip so we can move forward with the fun part, tuning.

    I wonder if the ECM number is actually 16144288, $AO 1991 - 92 4.3L S-10 & C K Truck

    Gearhead-efi link for ECM 16144288 information (.bin / .xdf . / .ads files) https://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-In...Information-AO

I tried using the $AO and it didn't work, although I'm new to this so I may have done it wrong.
I hope it is that easy

    Let's jump off a cliff and assume it's a GM OBD1 computer.

    A search of OBD1 computer; 1614**** and *****288;

    ECM #s.JPG

Screen capture with TunerPro RT $A0 .bin / .xdf / .adx

So . . . if your emulator was on my work bench . . . I would first try the using TunerPro RT using the $A0 files as pictured below.

I tried the $AO and it didn't open. Here's a pic of my ecm and the name of the place that supplied the electronics for the kit that is in my 260z.

Post 36,37 and 38. Did you download anything from the link Dave w and I suggested to try? Based on the screenshots you didn’t download any of the .bin, .xdf or .adx. When you select load definition file, tprt is looking for a file on your computer in that particular tunerpro folder (screenshot) that ends with the extension.xdf. Being that nothing shows up in the tunerpro folder means you may have downloaded the .xdf file but you didn’t save it there. I can say this for the other 2 screenshots as well. Dave w provides a perfect screenshot of what the header should like with 3 different files being applied.
