Incase anyone needs to know it took me a while to find this, but here is where the pinout is for the TBI hall effect distributor

No need to re-invent the wheel. But we can make it better
Also does anyone know anything about the TCM used in the 93-95 jeep grand Cherokee? These were for a 42re. Reported to be the same electronically as the 46re. Also a stand alone TCM. I found a pinout from one, it appears it only needs TPS from the engine and tach signal.
Does anyone know what it will look for as a tach signal? Cause these seem to only have been offered on the 4.0 i6. V8 jgc got the non computer trans.
Any info is appreciated

Thinking about this... the 2.5 E engine uses a Hall Effect sensor. Maybe that sensor could be used in the Mopar distributor?
I have updates.
The new 8vlt pickup came for the TBI distributor and bench tested it supplied with a 5 volt supply from an 0411 on a bench harness. Peak voltage was less than a volt, 0.87, if I remember correctly. And low switching the multimeter to millivolts. As I don't get a 5vlt signal out, I don't think this is going to be a drop-in solution like I originally thought it would.
Also of note, the replacement sensor is pretty cheesy how it fits the distributor.
My thoughts next are with the VR distributor with an hei module feeding tach signal to the 0411. Would one want to use a 4 pin or 8 pin for that? I would still be using a vortec module for firing the coil.
Also I plan on looking into using the shutter wheel from the TBI dizzy on the magnum dizzy, or a vortec hall effect pickup in the TBI dizzy.
Moving forward with VR seems to be the easiest thing to experiment with at this point. No fab, just wiring.

I am happy to donate a hall effect sensor and bits from a '96 Vortec distributor. I have disassembled a couple here to remove the bushings so the shaft and sensor are just waiting to be repurposed.
No problem! I am using several discarded distributors to build one for my truck so I have plenty of extra parts. I will take time tomorrow to look for a pigtail and to test the sensors to make you get a working one. That would be awesome. Do you also have a pigtail from the harness?
Also, I forgot to answer the 2.5 Hall effect question. TBI equipped 2.5 engines used in RWD applications such as S10 from 87-91 used a Hall effect sensor as well as a pickup coil.
I have parts to ship. Please send a PM with your address if you are still interested.
