I also added a GMT400 pusher condenser fan with a relay tied into the orange high blower relay trigger wire. The auxiliary fan runs when the ac blower is set to the highest speed. Since it has warmed up over 100F here I found the ac charge I ball parked in 80F weather was still a bit low. Added 8 oz of refrigerant to get the superheat at the accumulator outlet where it needed to be. I am seeing 5-7F of superheat now depending on engine rpm. It was 101F and 40 relative humidity yesterday and I was seeing mid 40s at idle with the blower on high speed and low 30s driving around and as low as 28F before the compressor would cycle. Needless to say it is cold.

A/C performance test at 2,000 rpm. Engine and engine compartment fully heat soaked, interior cooled down, recirculate, heater shut off valve closed, doors and windows closed, and blower on high fan speed. Condenser fan was in operation as well with the blower on high speed triggering its relay.

L31 350 is still running strong. Made a 600 mile road trip in it. Ran it for a while at 85 mph @ 3,300 rpm, 350 was singing along. Need to change the fan clutch as it seems to be practically locked up. Even dragging the fan had no problem merging into a gap in front of a pack of 8-10 cars that were rolling 90+ at one point. Kickdown from a ~50 mph roll on the service road, up a slightly inclined on-ramp and right up to speed. Remember TH400, 3.08 gear and a ~29" tall tire, was rolling before the TH400 grabbed 3rd @ 5,300.

I recall looking at those Edelbrock EFI kits long and hard but I was too cheap to pull the trigger. Sounds like it was wise to hold off. I've been reading your posts for years and if you were having trouble with it, 99.9% (or more) of the population are totally screwed!
    80 Camaro Z28 - 550hp AFR 383 / T56 6spd (Holley HP EFI)
    91 Beretta "SS" - 260hp 3400 MPFI / HM282 5spd (7730/$A1) sold! for crazy money...but I miss it
    94 Silverado Z71 - 300hp Vortec 357 TBI / NV4500 5spd (7427/$0D) gone but not forgotten
    96 Beretta "T56" - 4.8 LS RWD swap / 6spd (411/2156)
    01 Silverado 2500HD - stock Vortec 8.1 / ZF6 6spd (411/8322)
    00-03 Blazers "Z69" - 4.3 / 5spds (8322/2088/9405)

Proflow fought me the whole way, but so has the TH400. Something goofy in the valve body calibration in that stock 87 transmission. It mostly acts like a 2spd in most driving situations. Once it is in 2nd it will not go back into 1st until it is under about 10 mph, even if the shifter is in first. No manual shift and no kickdown to 1st. I tried modifying a governor and tried a NOS Corvette 5,500 rpm L82 Corvette governor with the same results. It cannot WOT shift within a 1,500 rpm window when I use the lighter governor setup. Sometimes it shifts at 4,500, sometimes 5,500 and sometimes it will hit the 6,000 rpm limiter without touching it. I put the TBI governor back in and it will bang off a shift at the same RPM all day long. However that TBI governor shifts a little over 4,000 rpm in Drive even eith the kickdown functioning and this engine makes peak power at like 5,500 and carries well to 6,000. Even the Manual 1st "Mercy Shift" happens at under 4,500 rpm. Really drags on the acceleration if it either shifts early or refuses to shift and I have to lift. The engine makes great power, but I cannot get to it under about 85-90 mph, lol. Thinking back this is probably the same reason the 6.0L felt so doggish it wamted to rev higher than the TH400 wanted to let it rev. Might have to put a 4L80E and 3.73 gear in it. For now it has no problem getting up to highway speed even on a short ramp. Rolling 20 mph though, give it full throttle and it is a 2nd gear pull to speed, nothing will make it drop into 1st which will carry it over 60 mph the way it is geared.
