And no it's not in my CP settings... There's no formatting controls, smiles don't place when you click them, I need to manually place the < P > to get another paragraph, etc. happens on all browsers, only reason I'm able to post without having all my crap running together is I know a few of the basic bb codes by heart and I'm typing them out manually.

i've tried two different browsers and the setting exists in both of mine...
settings -> my settings -> my account -> general settings -> Miscellaneous Options (way down at the bottom) -> Message Editor Interface -> Enhanced Interface

I had a hell of a time a short while back posting(~2 weeks?), the editor was not allowing CR so the text just kept wrapping making it very difficult to read.
Had to change from WYSIWG to standard editor, tried switching back and had same problem.
Something broke...?

So just tried switching back again, and I see nothing...no formatting controls again. Also the text just keeps wrapping, won't allow CR.Makes posting difficult to read, to say the least.

Interesting. I'll try to look at it this weekend.

Had to do the same thing ... change from WYSIWYG to Standard editor.
Have tried both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer ... same issues with both.
When I log in, I don't get the usual interface box (i.e. no text options - no bold, no bullet points, etc.)
This is just a test peace Hog
Now with Standard Editor
This
is
just
a

There are still some problems. Javascript for the in-post icons doesn't work for one. I have to figure out what's missing. I had to go through a bunch of files when the advertising hack was occurring. Now I need to figure if something has been changed that shouldn't have.

Hmm. At least it seems like the standard editor allows you to
Space it out like this. Icons seem to have shit the bed still though. :(
This is still not working correctly .... still no formatting options ..... still no way to insert an image, so that you could then explain it with text.

No, it is still not working properly. "We at gearhead-efi apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
I wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers ... just reporting issues that I have been experiencing, still persist.
When it gets squared away, I hope to insert some images into the XDF thread that I had started.

Thank you for the tip ... may try that this evening.
Nice photo by the way ... vented truck coils ... DBW Gen 3 pedal ... and an early DBW throttle body ... guessing 2002 LQ9 Escalade.

2001 Suburban LM7...managed to get everything first vs. cut/hacked/pilfered leftovers...rare occurrence gotta be really quick or hacks/idiots destroy good parts for no reason.
Too funny ... a 2001 LM7 DBW would have had to have been originally equipped with Traction Control (or it would have been DBC). Don't often see those in my local wrecking yard - good score.
No joy ... cannot copy and paste a picture from my computer to a thread.
Did you copy and paste a web address, and upload the photo to some other website ?
Or how did you get this to work ?

Yes, to use image tags need to upload photos to a hosting site or webserver.Photobucket, Google, etc.Otherwise attachments or Tapatalk if site supports them.Attachments still worked last time I tried them on here.
Thank you ... Yes, uploading attachments still work ... was trying to insert an image into the flow of text, rather than as an attachment at the bottom of the post ... which you have to be logged in to see.

Yep, I prefer the inserted images as well. Google photos works for me, been using it for a long time.I'm not a fan of photobucket, or similar with all the ads, too much clutter, and takes forever to just view the pics., let alone upload etc.

Thanks for being patient. One task at a time. :)
