New to Tuner Pro and TBI Tuning need some help

I have a 1993 GMC Suburban with TBI ECM 16168625. I purchased the APU1 and read the prom code, flashed the new prom attached it to the G! adapter with the original prom. I used the A201_E6_v250 ADX file and the E6_TPV5_v250 XDF file. It uploaded fine and I checked it with the verification tool it was successful. When I install it in the vehicle the check engine light comes on, i get no aldl data and the transmission is stuck in third gear (default) If I remove the original prom and install it without the G! it operates fine, I get ALDL and the transmission starts in First gear and shifts. Can you guide me where I went wrong? The prom ID Is BHAS. I was not able to find a bin file online to match it so I purchased the HDR1 to read the original. Thanks for whatever help you can give me.

    Herb

    You'll get it!

Take a look at this thread, especially the second post for chip direction:

Then the offsets for reading and burning to I'm guessing a 27FS512 chip:

Then when you have read your stock chip with the HDR1 and save the bin file, open it in TunerPro and look for the Mask ID? Is it really $E6 ? Or $0D? I've got 16197427 with factory $0E bin file.

You can post the bin and we'll see if it was read right? Since we don't have it I'd like to add it to inventory as well.

Well BHAS was superseded twice to BLCR. Which I can't find either.

The 16197427 will run all these masks, the 16168625 may as well, so you could find a bin in $0D to work with...

Thank you for all the help. Learned a lot just from your information. Great info for a beginner with Tunerpro.
