What vehicle? The light might be BCM controlled so programming the PCM has no effect on the light, just makes the engine run anyways.

2003 tahoe
Try setting all theft codes to not reported and uncheck the SES box and do a write entire.
What are the codes? Cant find them on thew web.
Ses box about what dtc?
I did the entire write
Our vans from that vintage show the same issue. The light is driven by the instrument panel controller. It is illuminated when IPC detects an issue with security system. I have not yet found a way to disable the light through software tools.
Is it possible to swap a segment within 2 different OS?
Why are you trying to disable the VATS?
I don't know the code numbers. Look for any and all VATS or theft codes and disable them completely by both setting to not reported and unchecking the SES box for every one.
And as I posted, the light is almost certainly controlled by another computer so programming the PCM might not be able to turn off the light. Easiest might be to pull the cluster and take out the bulb.
Because of new bin flashed
Why can't the VATS still work?
New bin flashed with different OS. Cant start engine with vats enabled
You might be able to do a security relearn and get the VATS to work with the new bin. You might need to make the VIN in the new bin match the truck/*BCM

After setting the VATS parameters the same as they were in the original OS, did you follow the procedure for PCM replacement in the truck which likely requires a VATS relearn?
Made the procedure. Works. Thnx for info
