Hey guys, had a question about TC lockup and the knock sensor.
I have a 1993 chevy c1500 with a 4.3l tbi and 4l60e.
New knock sensor, new TC, new trans pan harness with TC solenoid.
My issue is the TC is not locking up after using manual shifting, (no fan shroud, higher rpm keeps it cool in traffic).
Only code i have is code 43 for knock sensor. When i use my apu1 to remove the flag it does lockup, but still in and out.. the bin im using is one off this page. Which runs okay, minus a weird bogging at idle. Although, when i shut it off, it doesn't want to start back up without having to remove the g1 adapter and going to stock chip, and resetting ecm. And if it does, it goes into limp mode.
I've also tried to wire in a resistor inline with the knock sensor (sensor measures 100k ohm, used same ohm resistor), but still get the code 43..
Any thoughts?
I have gibson shorties, stock y, high flow cat to 3" turn down out, which makes me think it could be causing the false knock signal. But without the wire plugged into sensor and with resistor inline, still no lockup.
Edit; 7427 ecm, using $0D mask.
