From what I'm told, an 896 and a 0411 are virtually the same - both 512k byte PCM's. The only virtue in a 0411 is that it logs things slightly faster.

Yes - they both have red / blue connectors and the pin outs are the same. I have two 896 PCM's and a 0411 PCM and all three can . . . and are . . . running the same software load in each.
Yes - I would give you a copy of what I have in each but that wouldn't work for you because my setup is different than yours. Also, these are running a custom OS from HP Tuners and there is no matching and publicly available XDF for it.
And finally, some slick lawyer could someday say that I'm giving away HP Tuner intellectual property and I really don't need that hassle.

Thank You For The offer but This is Just to learn more i have not done a 4896 at all,
and to be honest i pulled wiring dia. up on this truck too see if all was the same @ pcm .
So now i will Flash it tomorrow my bench harness is @ my shop
Bought truck cheap it has rotter rear frame but i have a truck with light roll over damage perfect frame
good package then sell sell sell.
