try tunercat's winflash tool to see if that works instead. it's not free but he has a 30 day demo available
I tried. Its the pcm i have to change. It does connect but when it has to erase the old bin on the pcm to upload the new one it gives error both with winflash and eehack
Can you read the PCM. How is your voltage. If it is tool low you can`t erase the chip.
Its a 1994 z28. When i went to flash it i had another car started with boosters cable hooked to the battery, while i had my car on ON i did not measure the voltage but the in car gauge was showing around 12. I may have to measure it with my volt meter but i think its enough to be a le to erase the old bin and upload the new one
PS i have a OTC 4000 scanner but i would have to hook it up, read the voltage then remove it, and put the aldk cable for the laptop

Scanner showed 12,2 V with fans off and a booster car hooked to my z28 to ensure good battery voltage. Used both eehack and winflash, could read the pcm with both. Stability test okk 15 out of 15. But when i go to flash the ocm at the oart it has to erase the file to upload the new one it gives me error. Cable is red devil

This thread has a similar problem as yours.
Can you make a verbose log?
Was looking in eehack setting. Did not see that verbose log. It how ever does open to save the bin after it ends.
This this is still beating the crap out of me. Still cant flash the pcm with either eehack nor winflash. I tried a different laptop and get the same error:
INCORRECT MESSAGE SENT – This error message indicates that the message that was actually sent to the PCM is not the message the program is trying to send. This indicates that there is a problem with the RS-232 to ALDL Signal Converter or the connection to the PC or there is some local source of electrical noise interfering with the communications
I unplugged fans and fuel pump. I get around 14v at the pcm fuse and with scanner 13.6 on pcm. I thought it was the cable (red devil) i opened the small box and checked the pins and solder for continuity. Everything okk. Car still starts. I can read the pcm. But still can upload my tune....

i hpe this is wht you mean
It could be
- bad cable
- low voltage at PCM pins, not the battery
- bad cheap crap PC power supply or bad USB port, cable.
- some EMI noise in car
- bad PCM
I suggest to try a bench flash on fully charged batteries, and no power supplies.
If that doesnt cure it, try a different cable.
YEAHHHHH FINALLY it was that GODDAM M&#^#£×¥÷&#^ cable all that time. I opened it up and made mine own. First 20181107_111607.jpg20181107_111607.jpg20181107_111607.jpg20181107_111601.jpgtry20181107_111607.jpg
THANX A LOT GUYS!! i used winflash for this one but im sure eehack would have done it too
