Hi Jeff,
I would not be interested in the memcals for $250. It's challenging to place a fair value on a Memcal, for example on half off day at Pick a Part, a computer with memcal is usually less than $50. Another challenge with memcal pricing is the .bin file programmed into the memcal. it's possible some buyers would greatly appreciate the .bin file programmed into the memcal, while others simply don't care what's programmed into the memcal. Sometimes a memcal will fail to reprogram, which adds another challenge to a memcal price. Generally most memcals are easily located in the salvage yard which affects price. Quite often memcals can be found on Ebay for less that $50 with free shipping.
In general, fuel injection systems (like TBI & TPI) that still use a computer with a memcal are not as popular as there once were which affects memcal price. It's likely a fuel injection project using a memcal has a functioning memcal and has decided to use equipment from Moates.net to resolve the memcal programming needs. Seemingly the supply of memcals is greater than the demand for memcals.
