Finally a nice enough day to work outside with out freezing my fingers off.I put the 49lb/hr injectors in an hour ago.burned another chip with calculated bpw at 141 and injector bias at .37.holy sh...t.what a difference.have to get some logs to see where I'm at.I logged a bit but I screwed up the save when I got home.it's a bit rich in the 30 to 40 kpa(115-122) but the rest didn't go above 130 blms.of what i could see on the drive. once i get my oil change finished I'm gonna do some logs and see where my numbers are.love this site.

I've got a few questions about injector bias and what exactly changes with adjustment.I see looking through different bins some are .276 some are .396 and my factory ecm was .4 .a 4.3 v6 bin is at .5 .what I'm trying to do is take a guess at where a starting number is and if there is math i can use to figure it out.does engine cid matter in the equation.in the tbi calculator the bias increases with fuel increase.I assume that applies weather the fuel increase comes from larger injectors or pressure increase.any advice or further explanation would be great.I read that injector bias is like timing for the injector. If that's so is there a way to match it to ignition firing.thanks

Unable to find more definitive info on injector bias I burned 5 chips each with only injector bias changed.settings were .35/.37/.38/.40/.42 ...went fo a 2hr drive.I started with lowest .35.drove till hot.unhooked ecm harness to clear memory. Plugged back in waited till closed loop and started to log.right away I notice the stumble when burping throttle from idle or just stepping on it harder from any speed.I logged about 15 min to see if any improvement from learning.no change.so I went right to the highest one .42..unhooked ecm to clear memory and change chip.repeat of the lowest.same stumble in same area. So I repeated this again with about the middle chip at .38..no more stumble.ve needs adjustment no matter which chip.but it seems pretty responsive.I also got more knocks though.so I'll keep making adjustments to see if I can get it better in ve and sa.i drove it a little hard and it used and lot less fuel than it had been so that's a plus.a question about ve tables in xdf $42-1227747-V5.9.3 if I try to adjust my ve table on the graph it drops the point I try to adjust.I have adder table at 2.75 all rows.ve 1 has adder added accept the 2.75.if I type the numbers in the boxes then it works but it won't let me change on the graph.am i doing something wrong with this xdf.it works fine on the regular $42 xdf.any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

After much playing with ve/sa tables I finally got it running better.most of the last improvement came from using the iac and o2 settings from a big block bin.I'm awaiting a fp regulator and spring.I did the egr and bpw and sa patches.in my logs my o2 does not swing rich lean near as fast as I think it should.sometimes ot stays rich or lean and I increased the prp gain vs airflow by 2 in each line.it did make it swing more but still does stay at some points.I get the oscillating sound at cruise.in reading about it and seeing screen shots of what it should look like I'm unsure of how much I can increase or if I'm going the wrong direction.I reset my minimum idle and iac.with iac closed and unplugged I could not get a steady idle.I'm guessing I have an ignition issue but have had little time to do much other than log and burn chips.I'll try to post my bin and a log.maybe someone can view and give me a few pointers.I used the bb bin setting because I figure it's physically closer to my engine.non swirl ports and large distributor. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I posted my bin and a short log.if I have something set wrong or see something that shouldn't be please advise me.I'm getting a better understanding of how it all works but I'm still pretty green to tuning.thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to help.

Of 2 books I see available can anyone tell me what's a better first read.design and tuning high performance fuel injection systems or engine management advanced tuning.both by Greg Banish .thanks

Can anyone give insight on map-airflow scaler.I've found no info on tgis setting.I see it differs from 4.3 to 5.7 to 7.4 engines and wonder if it should be different on my 4.5.any knowledge on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Got this dodge 5.9L throttle body for free.kinda.I returned an alternator that was the wrong one.I went looking for 7.4L tbi but no luck.I remember reading the dodge had large holes and could be made usable on a gm.so I figured nothing to lose.I'm gonna clean it up and maybe do a bit of machine work.take the air horns off.maybe see if the injector pod could be mounted to it or just save it for pfi.it's a much shorter unit than the gm.maybe 1.5 inch tall.the bores are 52mm and the bolt pattern is not at all a match.simple adapter plate would fix that.it uses a 4 wire iac valve very similar looking to a 90's gm fwd and the tps has a 3 wire plug like gm.after its clean I'll see if it's too much to make it work or not.can't beat free though.

Update on a dodge throttle body.did some playing on the mill at work.still unsure this will work but it's looking like it will with a bit more work.bit of a tight fit.have to epoxy one vac port shut.also not much room at edge for air cleaner.hopefully I'll find something that will work.

Hello again.just got aem 30-4110 in the mail.went threw instructions. My question is can this be used in place of the oe nb sensor by setting the guage to the p4 setting.does that feed the afr to tp dash and be able to record with the log.I have my parts ready to go to swap to 7427 but have not yet had the time.so till I do get time I wanted to see what I'm at now and be able to log the data with 7747.never used a wb o2 b4.any advice is appreciated. Thanks
