I know these two pcms are very similar, but Im unsure if I can plug a 16197427 in place of a 16168625? I cant find a good pinout that I can read for the 8625. Thanks

Short answer is yes, they plug in the same connectors.

Thanks, compared and see no differences for the one I could find. I tried to use in place of my 8625 and something was not right, It started and ran but had cel and was rough.. I didnt have my laptop hooked up at the time. I will see what I can find out tomorrow with TP hooked up.
The pcm that was throwing codes and not running right, was from a 95 3500, 454, 4L80e. I tried another 9427 I have, which was BJYL and put my chip in and was fine. Got these for backups. Whats the difference between the two? They appear to both be 95 pcms, one a 4L80e and the other 60e. 454 vs 350.
That's a tough one, I am assuming that the 454 pcm and the 350 pcm were 7427's. Did you replace the memcal, or just the chip on the memcal? The knock sensor circuit is part of the memcal, and the 454 knock sensor is different than the 350 knock sensor.

When I tried both the 7427s in place of factory 8625 I used my factory memcal and g1 adapter with custom chip. Same I used on my 8625. Weird, so there must be some differences between the 1500 and 3500 versions of 7427's? Other that the chips I mean. I figured they would be the same other than whats on the memcal.
