i've looked into this before.....
http://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-p...eed-limit.html
a couple posts in there should be helpful.
120 is the appropriate speed.
I got -200 by mistake 11 chips for 6$, so I kept them nd use them for testing. They work fine but I have no clue will they work on running engine.
Steveo:I've got a copy of the flash rom images sent me by Ion Soltan from 2006. Both T & E side images are 64K.so i guess the 512 part is 64k * 8 bitsThe 120 is the speed in nano seconds so your 200ns chips might be a bit slow to read. I've no idea .... Just found & checked the roms he sent me Flash16166080AN28F512E 5012ACU4320082 & U2491155 Mitch
i think what i thought was a perfect solder job is shorting out in a few places i didn't notice. im going to re-flow those areas and try to get the excess solder out.
some extra flux must have flowed out and made the solder wick across some of the pins, right underneath where i couldn't see it.
i got a thin pick, heated each pin, and shoved the pick through, scraping the board for molten solder, and a few nice globs fell out
it's alive!! (at least the single-chipped one is, which is good 'nuff for my test bench)
bad news:
i spoke too soon. the t-side only runs for a few minutes, then dies. it comes back to life if i reboot, though. i think something on the board must be roasted from screwing around with it, as the failure seems to be after a random time, so probably heat-related. perhaps the short roasted a trace. it runs from ram (a mode-6 initiated loop) alright, but after a few minutes of datalogging it crashes.
im going to de-solder both ecms and try again.
good news:
the new ECM i ordered from ebay for 60 bucks arrived today (thanks eehack donations! you rock), giving me a chance to test some of the operation timing improvements i've been working on. im not going to socket this one, as i need to keep my car running...
this places timing delays in the proper place, to ensure the ECM's event loop has time to recover from the previous operation before receiving the next one, something not done properly in previous releases. i'm confident this fixes some of the flashing issues we've been having.
i slowed the program upload (for flash write, flash erase, etc) down to a ~100ms gap per-request, impacting total flash time by around two seconds, but increasing potential safety. i tested this on my new ecm and didn't see any failures, but again im hesitant to keep testing because i need my car to run, so more testing would be appreciated.
as usual, get your beta here. http://fbodytech.com/eehack-2/beta/
other good news: the ecm i got contained a new bin! calibration id#16210051 BMJW with vin 2G1FP22P9S2126380 which was not on my list already. so it's good for the files.
Steveo, I'd love a copy of the tool. I'm one of the few still tuning the LT1's in my area. Looks very interesting.
Thanks,
Steve

I found the link for the Beta! Looked right over it. I have loads of LT1 EE files if there's anything you are looking for , just let me know. I may have it.
Thanks,
Steve

here's the real download page if you wanted to run a 'stable' version (recommended unless you're beta testing for me, betas can be buggy.)
http://fbodytech.com/eehack-2/download-eehack/
if you're using a beta you won't get reliable automatic version notifications, so check frequently for new releases, it's in active development
awesome! i think i have most factory calibrations but feel free to review the list, http://fbodytech.com/bin-files-2/bin-files/I have loads of LT1 EE files if there's anything you are looking for , just let me know. I may have it.
any calibration IDs missing or without a followable link on them, i don't have.
