I have a diesel throttle pedal / APP sensor and TCM here. I thought it would be easy enough to weld an extension on the pedal to attach a cable but I haven't yet done a stand alone 4L80E install.TPS I used a alum plate mounted the TPS sensor and an extension arm to the paddle

That sounds like a neat setup.
I've never seen TP files for the TCM, either. Options are Tunercat or one of the TC resellers.
Years ago I helped a guy building a custom efi system. We used an electronic Q-jet for the throttle body. Machined the venturis out and used the TPS to a 165. The engine had vacuum hoses and wires all over and a quick glance left you thinking it was a carbed engine in full emissions gear.
XDF files are user made and we've only got so much information available to make them.

TC author was involved with GM engineer early on to make custom cals, branched out into his own software. Early work involved disassembling but not sure where OBDII info came from. I don't know what's present or missing in TCM files but I've never had trouble getting anything added if it really exists in the cal. What's wrong with the OBDII files?
Should I use a BJDR eprom/bin from a 16196395 pcm for this build?? Since it will be a 350tbi / 4L80E / NP208?
I wasnt sure if that bin was 2wd or 4wd or if it even mattered.
The Trans I got is from a 2004 Hummer 6.5/4l80e. It has both the input and output sensors in the Trans so my plan is to use those for the Trans and keep the cable drive on the t case. I believe this software/Bin has a conversion in it for the t case when in low range.
I guess I should have asked the question
When using the G1 adapter do I need the original eprom on it for this swap ?? Or does it just use what's on the chip in the adapter?
I'm cruising right along getting parts and what not.
I've got a couple v8 memcals, vssb and connector, all the wiring for the Trans, and 3 ecu's (can never have to many laying around).
Ive been doing a ton of reading and I apreciate everyone's help. I'm hoping to start actually swapping the trans out in the next few weeks.
One thing I think I understand but I'm not sure on is vss output on the trans. I've read problems with people having 4lo shifting problems. My plan was to keep the cable driven speedo from the t case and use the output speed sensor in the transmission wired thru the vssb to the ecu. Will this work ?? Or will I have 4lo issues??
Where did all my helpers go?? :-)

Thanks Billy. I'm pretty glad this Trans has the output sensor still at the rear of the Trans.
Since I have a vssb with the 2 dip switches I should be able to set it up for the correct mph signal to the ecm
I'm pretty excited to say that I finally got the truck done. It drives a lot different now that's for sure. I'll have to post up some pictures and a few tips on how to solve a couple of problems I ran into.
