Hi, I'm an Italian mechanic owner of a Corvette c4. My car needs a tune-up injection and I found your forum by thirdgen and other sites.
I hope to find useful information for me and my car or maybe you can help me. Best regards ItalianCorvette

The C4 was produced from 1984 ~ 1996, what year is yours?

My C4 was produced in the second half of 1986
Yes, exactly. But one owner before me has made changes to the whole machine. I'd like to tell you everything that I have discovered and studied in this time.
Can I?
I haven't pictures but I'll make.
First of all I want to tell you that my english is not good, please forgive mistakes, thanks.
ENGINE / INJECTION
Racing exhaust manifold with empty stock catalytic converter and empty stock mufflers,
No EGR, no AIR, no Canister purge,
MSD 6AL, Accell HEI supercoil, Accell Cap and rotor,
Stock wiring harness was replaced with a harness similar to Painless wiring which mounts 1227730 ECM and Speed density ('90 - '92 F-body),
Walbro gss340 fuel pump, weber fuel pressure regulator, Ford 24Lb fuel injectors (the color is blue),
TRANSMISSION / DRIVELINE / TIRE
Stock TH700r4 but the last owner gave me the TransGo performance shift kit,
Richmond differentials 3.54 ratio,
255/45 r18 wheels
Now I ask myself many questions about the reason for all these changes, in particular for the control unit and the wiring.
What do you think?
Later I tell you what I thought
I like the Speed Density System (MAP Sensor) TPI system. I think the previous owner also liked the TPI Speed Density System. Maybe parts for the Speed Density System is less money and / or easier to find parts for in Italy?
Maybe the previous owner did not do a good job converting to Speed Density?
