I like it, I'm just not sold on it for this site.
The man who says something is impossible, is usually interrupted by the man doing it.
I agree very cool but not an automotive centric design. Now if the lightening was Comming off a pcm, sparkplug, or something like that.

Even if it IS in a metal box, we don't want lightning hitting a PCM! :-p
Familiar with 1227747 and 16197427 PCMs
Yea the lightning coming off a sparkplug would be cool, and more auto related.

Maybe turn the spark plug over and make the electrode and ground tab form the 'G' in Gearhead...with the lightning making contact there.....?

Sorry I have not been around. Wife is finally home from 62 day hospital stay... she broke her record of 47 days...
I like the logo too! Tell the wife thank you for sharing her talent with us please.
But... it won't work. If put in place of logo the lettering will be to small. If cropped to fit there would be no lightening left or what is left would look like a smuge.
Off Topic: The patent on those E3 plugs is the spark plugs guarenteed "Miss" within a few thousand miles if not instantly... along with dieseling from the small electrodes getting to hot and glowing!

Shape would be more like it. Look at the logo and space available. Does not have to be exact as site logo but needs to be close as to not alter appearance of site. That said you can understand how using the one she made would end up pushing forums down and leaving much blank space on top. Or cropped to size would exclude what makes it cool, the lightening that matches the site. So it's not that the logo she made is wrong, but web design has already been done and it would not work correctly. I have some graphics training along with all the web design, but I'm not artistic, everything you see on this site including the banners I made. I can take anything and combine it with another, add letters, resize and optimize etc... This is what I do. Build it in much bigger workable size, each item on another layer. When done merge all and resize to usable space. This way you still have original for changes, then merge and resize again.
So if shape is similar to original, then I can do whatever is needed to original.
Actually I was just looking for an original logo and thought we could draw from the members as it's all about what we make of it. If I had a logo I could replace the cartoon car with something origanal in what we have or rebuild it accordingly.
Don't let this create any stress! It is supposed to be a fun project for the community.
