Thank you for this site. My good friend passed away recently and I inherited a 1996 SS Camaro. It has a built LT1 with high compression and a lumpy camshaft and a high stall converter. The power steering was removed to make it that much easier to drive on the street and parallel park. He set it up for NO2. He intended to drive it to the drags, whoop on people and drive it home. He knew what he was doing and was very smart about motors and racing anything.
When my buddy built the car, I guess it was trendy or the thing to revert back to OBD1 so he installed a ECM he had purchased from a '94 or 95 rig. This included modifying the harness.
There is a tune on the car and I has some information from the Dyno runs. It builds massive torque (in my opinion) well over 500 ft lbs up to 4500 rpm and over 600 bhp at the tires. It looks like they concentrated more on peak performance and not so much on drive-ability.

So that is why I am here. I am going to learn one way or another to tweak a little drive-ability onto this car.

Glad to be here and thanks again
Bill
