hey guys i really need some help with my Swap... my motor is a 2001 ls 5.3 came out of a tohoe.the numbers on the pcm are 12200411. i drop the ls 5.3 into a 1986 chevy 3/4ton 4x4 with a 4speed muncie sm465 manual transmission with no a/c and im using a inline fuel pump i got from amazion .its starts up and dies.i been trying to do my own tune for my pcm 12200411 and i aint very smart about these computers but im tryingn to learn..... but im so confused with trying to tune the pcm i dont know what im doing wrong. i have the stock ls 5.3 bin file loaded to my computer i used the obd link lx to read the pcm.so from there with tuner pro i downloaded a couple xdf files that say 5.3 stock xdf..but i cant get nothing to show up inside the parameter tree. i dont know what im doing wrong my friends please help.this is all new to me its my first swap and its taking me about 6months to make it this far and im so close. please help... i would like to do away with the egr, purge evap,maf,o2 sencers, disable vats, and anything i dont need for the my swap and again im new to all of this and just trying to learn as i go. or can someone tell me what exactly what my swap needs on the pcm tune....cause im so confused and just so ready to have my swap up and running so bad i cant sleep at night... please help... and also i want to thank everybody at gearheads efi, tuner pro and members, friends thank you all.

    Hello Darrel,

How much have you read around here about the required associations between BIN files and XDF files for use with Tuner Pro RT? They must be the same for proper editing of the PCM operating system.

What is the operating system number for your BIN and your XDF?

My fuel pump also starts up and then dies two seconds later . . . . because its supposed to do that - this is the pump "priming time". But it comes back on once I move the key to the start position. Does your fuel pump have power through the fuel pump relay assembly during cranking and after the key is released to the run position?

With your limited knowledge of tuning I would suggest you keep the MAF sensor and upstream O2 sensors. The IAT sensor is incorporated into that style MAF sensor too.
