Next step is a tune. Gonna need a little help.

Hey everyone, I have a daily drIver 300k 01Tahoe that was on last leg 2years ago. Now its almost new aside from the 5.3 LM7 bottom end. I'm starting to have shift delays with a recently replaced 4l60e. I've put mild upgrades in the engine, deleted egr and fan, short headers, intake... and am hoping to preserve my hard work with a reliable tune. But this will be my first tune. Any advise on how to start.
