    Which 7427 knock sensor?

What knock sensor should I use for a 7747 to 7427 PCM conversion? Looking it up I find several different types, some are seperated by transmission type? Why would this matter? Which knock sensor do I need?

Also, Mark told me he remembered reading somewhere about guys who use the old ESC module and old knock sensor (from a 747 setup), while bypassing the ESC on the memcal? Any one know anything about that?? Probably more hassle than just using a newer style knock sensor with the 7427 PCM?

dave: "I use the Standard Ignition KS6 for an automatic transmission when doing the '427 PCM conversion"

I remember touching on this in a thread of mine once. For the 7427 you are gonna want to look up a 94-95 model truck with a auto trans to get the right knock sensor. The 94-95 trucks with manual transmissions used a different (older style) ecm that uses the same knock sensor as the 7747. The 7747 KS has a white plastic connector, the 7427 uses a black one.
    Thats all I remember.
79 Jeep Cherokee, AMC 401, T-18 manual trans, hydroboost, 16197427 MPFI system---the toy

93 Jeep YJ Wrangler, 4.0L, 5 speed, 8.8 rear, homebrew hub conversion and big brakes, hydroboost, 2.5in OME lift, 31x10.50's---the daily driver

99 Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee limited, 4.0L, auto, 2wd, leather and power everything, 99% stock---the long distance highway ride.

I can't find the thread, but it's not hard to either run wires from ESC module - old 7747 ECM or not use it and run knock sensor wire to PCM because knock module/ESC is in memcal.

Ok I'm glad I asked, and double, triple checked which knock sensor to use, the one I ordered was for a truck like you specified, 95 c1500 A/T so should be good to go. It actually came in the mail today.

Mark, Since I've already got a newer style KS I'm going to try to just use the ESC in the MEMCAL.. WHERE does the knock sensor wire go to on the PCM, what pin?
