so, heres the scenario:
i have a 95 silverado, 5.7 tbi, 4l80e, 3.42 gears.
its running a BJDR bin on a moates adapter and EEPROM successfully to facilitate the 4l80e swap.
have about 2k on the trans swap and bin swap now. pretty solid and reliable now, and im happy with that part.
however....
when i did the swap, i lost 4mpg average. and quite a bit of seat of the pants power. looking at the original BJYK bin, it seems that the main spark table has an average of a 10 degree timing retard with the 4l80e bin.
on previous TBI vehicles, ive manually rotated the distributor to bump the timing a few degrees (usually about 4) for seat of the pants power and MPG increase. never noticed much, if any, increased knock retard events with that, but i never datalogged flat towing the race car uphill either.
anyway, what im thinking, and needing help with is this.
im thinking that i want to put the timing tables from BJYK into the BJDR bin, OR somehow otherwise make the BJYK bin operate the 4l80e trans. combing the two or something.
im not sure how to go about this, as im really quite inexperienced at this part. im able to burn a stock .bin, but anything of this level is new to me.
if it matters, truck has a freed up intake track (resonator delete, k&n filter, salad bowl), headers, high flow cat and y pipe and exhaust. 180 thermostat. otherwise stock, and freshened.
so, how do i start down this path? or do i go down this path? uploaded the most recent datalog (i think) if that helps
