Working on the LT1 swap into 79 Malibu wagon and noticed I broke the LT1 oil sender. Is this only for the electrical dash gauge on the 94 Z28? I’ll be running a mechanical oil pressure gauge and was planning on tapping in here anyway. I want to make sure this sensor is not needed for pcm function in any way. Can I just remove it and remove the harness plug for it?
