    Adding knock sensors (sanity check)

I'm swapping from my 7427 to a terminator x setup at the same time I'm installing a new BMP Merlin IV based 582ci big block in my suburban. The Termi X has the capability of running newer 2 wire knock sensors, and since I need to buy new knock sensors anyways, I figured I would modernize. The question is, am I OK sticking them on an unused boss on the bottom of the block? I don't believe the newer sensors are in the water jackets of the LS2/3/7 blocks, but I could be wrong on that.

Some of the marine engines use little studs to mount the two wire flat response sensors to a small block.
