Tuning question

Hi all: I'm brand new to tuning, OBD I, etc. I recently picked up a 91 Seville with the 4.9L V8 and MPFI. Runs great, but after reading the forums some last night, I got to wondering if I could modify when the radiator fan comes on in the car. By design the fan does not run until either a. the AC is on, or b. the coolant temperature hits 221 degrees. I'd like to drop that down by 10 degrees since I live in Southern California and it gets pretty hot in the summer. Is that even something I can modify in the ECM? Thanks in advance!

The Seville computer is not the most popular EFI computer. TunerCats software has a configuration file available for the Seville: http://www.tunercat.com/pdfs/ecm_ns2.pdf

Thanks so much, Dave! It makes some sense. It sounds like I *might* be able to edit the ECM constants table to adjust what I'm looking for; is that right?

Yes, TunerCats offers the configuration file you need. You will have figure out which configuration file to use. Then the chore to erase, and reprogram your chip.
