    2000 Silverado 1500 4x4 to 4x2 Conversion

Good Afternoon, I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this and if not please direct me to a better area. I am wanting to convert my 4x4 pcm to a 4x2, I need to know what to enable/disable or change in tunerpro to do this conversion. Another question is could I just take the bin from a 2000 Silverado 1500 with 4x2 and flash it onto my pcm? Of course given the OS versions match, Thanks!

Maybe one of the .bin files in this thread will help: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...rPro-Bin-Files

Possibly TunerPro has a compare feature?

Thanks for the reply! I did take a look at that and am thinking about doing a complete flash/clone of the bin provided that has 4x2. However I'm not sure of exactly what to watch out for or what causes a failed OS flash. Do you know anything about that? Tunerpro also does indeed have a compare feature. However even if I compared the two I wouldn't know exactly what to look for as far as 4x2 vs 4x4.

If your target PCM is a 1 megabyte blue/green connector device then flash it with a 1 MB file. If its a 512 kbyte red/blue device, flash it with a suitable 512 kbyte file - a model year 2000 PCM is likely this size. It should work though you will likely need to kill off a few useless DTC faults.

I use either TunerCats OBD2 or EFI Live. TunerCats has a PCM recovery flash for a failed OS.

Hopefully someone with TunerPro experience will help out in this thread.
