Question Please Help! TPS Out Of Range, Slipping 2/3 Shift, PRNDL Shows Reverse While Cruising

    Hey Everyone,
I own a 95 3.4L Auto (BNFM) and have been having a few issues I cannot seem to get rid of. I started looking into it when I had noticed my speedometer is showing about 5-7mph faster than actual speed and transmission slips going from 2-3 and above 50-60% Throttle. My DataCat shows TPS out of range - yes when cruising but at wot or idle it says no. I have been trying to pinpoint when or why it does this, but still cannot make any sense of it. If anyone has the time to take a look at a log of mine on DataCat or any suggestions as to how I should go about diagnosing I would greatly appreciate it. I can send the .dcf and do other logging as well to try and locate the source of this problem. I most recently got my TPS idle voltage down from 0.51v to 0.43v by closing the throttle plate a tiny bit (not so much that it gets stuck, of course) and did a relearn, and it seems a little better but still slips and still shows TPS out of range at times. IAC has been cleaned and is below 50 after fully warmed up at idle. TPS shows steady and smooth with no spikes, drops, or fall-outs, but I am still tempted to replace it just to see... But I come from a father who is really against just throwing parts at a problem and have been very reluctant to do so. lol She drives fine otherwise. One thing about this vehicle to note: When I originally purchased it, the previous owner installed a series of switches to control various things. The one that was left being used (because the other 3 switches didn't go to anything by the time I got it) was to activate the coolant fan. It was left to be on at all times otherwise it would overheat. I died inside when the previous owner told me this. I immediately did some tests and replaced the ECT sensor, removed the "extra wires" that ran to the fan control relay circuit, checked the thermostat, and waited for the computer to activate the fan itself. I do oil changes religiously and am beginning to frustrate my wife with how consumed with 'fixing' the car I have become. Lol Anyone please help. Thank You

First, and easiest to address, the PRNDL can be corrected by adjusting the shift indicator cable to the shift selector on the driver's side of the transmission. Pull out the lock tab, slide and re-lock. Run the shifter from P to L and adjust accordingly until the needle agrees with the shaft position. Of course pull up the shift indicator plate off to make sure nothing's bound up or damaged. Pull the staple out of the front side of the shift knob (very small flathead) and pull the knob straight up and off to get under the shift indicator plate.
