    Hello from Southern Utah

Hey guys, I'm excited to finally be on here... I've been lurking in the shadows for awhile but I'm getting to the point where I start me first tune, and I know I'll need more support than just google!

A little about me, I'm originally from northern Michigan. I moved to Southern Utah in 2015 for work and have been here ever since. I'm a wildland firefighter, which means my winters are open for projects. In May of 2019 I bought a 1990 Suburban, completely rust free with a GW crate 350 of little mileage. It was a volunteer fire department rig, so it mostly sat inside and had the fluids changed regularly. I stole it for 1,900 bucks, took it on a road trip 2k+ miles back to Michigan, added a 4" suspension lift and 33" tires, then drove it back to Utah without a problem. Shortly after I was back, I somehow floated 2 valves (perhaps going 85 up mountain grades in a '90 suburban).

To wrap up the rant, what I thought could have been a timing chain issue, was not. Timing chain was as tight as expected. However, since I had the timing cover off, naturally I had to swap the cam... and the heads... and what it turned into, was much more than the valve job I needed.

This is the setup I have today:
    Stock GW hecho block
    Lunati Hyd. FT. 213/220 .467/.473 LSA 112
    Summit Vortec 175 heads
    Comp magnum pushrods
    Comp Magnum 1.52 roller rockers
    Edelbrock 2116 Vortec Performer Intake
    Khaos Motorsports carb-TBI adapter/1" spacer
RV Morse ported TB w/ Adjustable FPR and 18# spring
    80# injectors
    JBA 1 5/8" shorty headers
2.5" true duals with high flow mufflers
    EBL Flash-II
    Zeitronix ZT-2 WB
And a TPI Fuel Pump (381 I believe?)

I've put myself in a position where my very first engine rebuild will also be my very first tuning experiment, so I'm sure I'll reach plenty of setbacks along the way. The plan is to take it slow and not get to giddy now that my first startup is just right around the corner. This is a classic case of losing all self control and one of my projects being completely blown to unbelievable levels... but this performance TBI tuning stuff is super exciting to me and I feel like I just can't take it all in fast enough!

The EBL Flash II will streamline the tuning process.
