    how do i modify xdf?

    like the title says how do i modify XDFs? I want to add e-fan control. Im having a hard time figuring it out. Im using Advanced $OD TP5 v251 on a 7427 ecm. Ive searched can cant find away that dumbs it down far enough to understand.

    I think you're confused. If you're trying to add a feature that does not exist in the ECM from the factory, modifying the XDF isn't going to help you (well, sort of).

    What you need to do is find out where some free space is in the BIN for your vehicle, then write yourself some lovely assembly to program that feature in, then write the appropriate jumps so that the ECM knows to use your code.

    Then, once you've hacked the BIN, you can go one step further and be a fancy-pants and put your new code into patch form and add it to an XDF so that TunerPro can patch it for you.

    My point is, if you don't know how to do that first part where you hack the BIN...you're SOL.
