Yep, I've been doing that for years, though I short different pins than shown in that link.

I just installed a 2nd L67 into the wifes 2004 impala ss clone.
Technically it is 3rd motor, but the one I built is overdone and I was worried about installing so bought another takeout (first swap spun rod in 200 miles).
Have about an hour of idling and a drive around the block and think I hear a familiar knocking sound again.
Need to go change oil/filter and see what's up.

If a man curls into a ball in a corner of his shop and cries like a baby and nobody hears him,do they still revoke his man card I wonder?

I cant remember if this subject has ever come up in the past on here, but does anyone else on here have a PS3 and play online? I am playing games all the time. I love my PS3. When I'm not playing a game, I can watch bluray movies, or watch movies and tv shows on netflix.

i bought a PS3 in late 2007/early 2008, it was the backwards compatible with PS2 unit, largest hard drive... didn't last too long(maybe a year) until it got nailed with a yellow light of death.... after dealing with the PS2's disk read error fiasco(that i half-ass repaired about a dozen times), i'm pretty unsatisfied with Sony's engineering for the past 10 years or so.

when it was functional, great console(as was the PS1 and PS2 before it), but i'm wary about buying any newish product from them.

I too bought the original "fat" system back in 07. Was the premimum with the 80gig hard drive. It lasted all the way up untill last year when it finally got the yellow light of death. I fixed it myself by reflowing the motherboared to get it working long enough to do a data transfer to a new system. I still have my old one waiting for me to send it out and have it re balled.
I definately like my old original system better. Not only is it backwards compatable, it just "looks" better. Its also quieter than my new slim one.
But I figure around 5 years of being used from 2-4 hours, almost every single day, it lived a long and happy life. My old PS2 is still alive and kicking, as well as my old PS1. Guess I got lucky and never had a issue with my PS2. I also still have all the games I ever bought for all 3 systems. If I like a game, I keep it. Forever. lol

I had a PS, and PS2 for a while years ago, spent many, MANY hours on Gran Tourismo, GT4, etc. I ended up giving them away as I rarely have any time for stuff like that anymore.

this is kindof off the subject, egr ve comp table in a 747 . would you raise the numbers to richen the table or lower them, still working on knock counts, with out lowering the egr spark.

this is the whatever thread.... subject is not required nor consistent. posting my little pony episodes on youtube followed by excepts of shakespeare would be entirely appropriate, just odd.

seeing how it's a compensation table, i would assume that the value in the table is subtracted from the calculated VE, so larger numbers SHOULD take out more fuel, otherwise the table should be renamed.

thanks Robert, I think it is going to lean is where I am picking up knock counts, wish I had a tune on the fly rig, when I change something I have to burn a chip, gq-4x has burnt 834 chips for my truck and I am still playing and burning gasoline that is getting cheaper down here, but I am running out of play money.

Initial COP conversion testing is a success.

I have 6 Ford COP coils that I believe are from a 4.6L

I wired up paired cylinders in series, connected them to the GM V6 DIS ICM (A 3100 ICM to be exact), it fired over no problem, and ran very well.

I know my plug wires are old, but I think they may be in worse off than I thought. When I had the COP coils on there my AFR was very lean. I swapped back to the conventional DIS coils and my AFR got very rich, what I'm used to seeing, and had more difficulty cranking over, like I've seen a few times now.

Looks like I will be making coil bracket tomorrow. :D
