Got a email saying my email was changed

Just got a email saying that my email address was changed, and to reply to the email to let them know I received it.
It has been a long time since I have posted here and the first thing I thought was my account got hacked.
However I was able to log in (took my a couple tries to remember my password) and checked my settings. My email address was still the same and was not changed. I went ahead and changed my password just to be safe.
I did not reply to the email and still have it in my inbox if a mod wants me to forward it to them or see a screenshot.
Could it be a phishing email using this forum's name?

I truly apologize for the confusion. Nothing is wrong other than a tired admin forgot to uncheck a pile of default settings before sending an email change notice to one account.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone get a followup message saying the first message was sent in error?

It sounds like follow up messages didn't send to everyone. So if you are reading this thread, please consider post #6 to be your follow up message. :)

Here for the same reason, also did not receive a follow-up message. This actually turns out to be a good thing, as I've been away from here for a number of years (had a kid which complicates life) and only last week woke the car up from an equally lengthy nap. Have some tuning to do so this is a place I need to be! Glad to see some familiar names are still around, hope everyone is doing good and will see more of you soon.

Nice to see you, Frank. Funny, My J cars have sat for several years for the same reason. I just cleaned up the '94 and put it back on the road this summer.

Good to know it was just a honest mistake and not a phishing attempt or a hack.
I also have not received the follow up message.
Thanks for letting us know what was going on.
