Can a 6395 ECM run a MAF system?

I have a 1994 C2500 7.4L TBI and was given a 1999 7.4l Gen VI multiport induction system which is a mass airflow system and would like to know if the 1994 ECM (6395) has the capability to run a MAF system.
    Thanks to anyone who responds.

The 7.4 Vortec (1996 - 1999) can be converted to '6395 MPFI without MAF (Speed Density - the exact same way 1990 - 1992 TPI systems are). See attached .zip for additional information.

Basically the MPFI conversion requires the injectors to be wired to "Bank Fire" which is the exact same way TPI injectors are wired.

    Thanks.
Next question....Is it worth the effort?
Will the system run efficiently on just a MAP input?

There will be opinions about "Is it worth the effort" and "Will it run efficiently on just a MAP input".

It's not a plug-n-play conversion, above average electronic and above average mechanical skills are an ABSOLUTE MUST!

In my humble opinion, solely based on actual real world experiences, yes to both answers.

Adding the electric fans, and tuning with a Wide Band Oxygen Sensor "double downs" on worth the effort and efficiency results.

Tuning with Wide Band Oxygen Sensor information: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...g)-Spreadsheet -- average Microsoft Excel skills required.

    Dave W,
Well I am ready to put my 7.4 back in the truck and have 2 options for the intake system. I have a performer manifold and adapter for the stock TBI which I can probably get running with the previous stock bin to gather data to tune. I also have a Vortec MPFI intake system such as the one you are running with the same 6395 computer. I prefer to use the MPFI but I also want to get the truck up and running quickly. As per this thread I am aware of the mods to the computer hardware etc. I was wondering if you could give me any advice or had a starter BIN for this set up to allow me to get it running and start tuning. I have a 4L80E. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,
Can you give me a list of the mods that this BIN is for?
Also was the engine using a TBI or was it converted to MPFI?
    Thanks

Are you going with the MPFI conversion?

Are you going to stick with the TBI?

The .bin in post #8 is MPFI. The .zip file in post #2 outlines EVERYTHING needed for MPFI.

I was planning on trying the TBI first then deciding if I wanted to go the MPFI route.
I was also curious about the engine particulars that the BIN was tuned for.......such as heads, cam etc.
Just want to have as much info as possible.

As best as I can remember the chip in Post #8 is 100% stock, except for the MPFI programming.
