There was an error in spark conversion. Try with the fixed definition.

Well now it's showing spark advance but it's mid to high 50's. My main spark table doesn't go that high anywhere.

    Hey quick question...
Is this compatible with the 1995 Camaro v6 3.4L L32 engine, PCM #16184737 (BCC: BNFM)?

Yes it is, but the def file needs some work. Some of the data is not converted properly.

I am looking at using ECM 16172693 (93 V6 Firebird automatic) for my 3.4l MGB. Lots of good info in this thread but not sure from what I have read so far if eehack can work with this ECM 16172693. Their is no XDF available for this ECM that I am aware of. I have tuned a 94 V6 Firebird bin using Tuner pro and MT flash with no problems. Can eehack and eeflash (P66) work with this 16172693 ECM.
    thanks
    Ray

You can try to read it with flashhack and report back.

I think the pcm is the same, but is missing the tside, do you have a pic of it, extrernal connectors and inside of it. It will help figuring out if it can be supported.

The v6 93 pcm is identical looking to the pcm used on the 94/95 V6 Firebird/Camero. Both have 3 large 32 pin connectors on them. I compared the pinouts for the 93 and 94/95 pcms and they are the same except the 94/95 pcm uses a few more of the spare pins (7 I think) to control the 4l60E (electronic) auto transmission where the 93 only controls a 700R4 transmission (non electronic). I am able to read/change the BIN for the 94/95 pcm using Tuner pro RT but when trying to view the BIN for the 93 using Tuner pro RT some of the data is garbage. There is no XDF available for the 93 pcm to be used with Tuner pro RT. I am pretty sure that the 93 pcm has both a T side and E side.
My old laptop which I use for pcm tuning and has all my BIN files is starting to act up. Appears to be HDD problems. I saved all my files but I need to get it repaired before I attempt to read anything with flashack. Not sure how long it will take to get it repaired with all thats going on with covid. I will get back to you with the attempts to read with flashack after repairs.
    Thanks
    Ray

well got my laptop repaired and was able to extract the BIN from my ECM 16172693 (93 firebird 3.4l) using eeflash. But now that I have a copy of the BIN I am still not able to view all the various tables in the BIN because there is no XDF available for this ECM. Is eehack capable of viewing/ modifying this BIN.

I have a 95 Camaro that I use TunerPro with and DATA Cats, and tuner cats. I’f I can help with testing to get EEHACK working with the 3.4lv6 L32 Camaros. I’m also interested in installing the Firebird “performance” switch that uses the performance mode tables in the bin. The wiring for the button and indicator lights are in the harness/pcm on the Camaro but not used. Ultimate goal is real time tuning. So far can log, edit, flash, and issue mode 4 commands while the engine is running as well as see the trace functionality work too. Just can’t modify values and have them commit the changes without shutting off engine and flashing. Also, what’s the difference of a calibration and reflashing? How do you only flash a calibration?

and you probably never will, due to how the erase and rewrite of that flash chip works. if you want realtime tuning of the entire bin, you will have to use an emulator, you wont be doing it over the ALDL port.

with this ECM, the 'calibration' and 'operating system' are all one big binary lump that needs to be programmed together, so they are the same thing.

Moates stopped making the emulators that would work with the P66’s. Does anyone know of why? And what options are there for live tuning? I’m so bummed that Moates no longer makes the emulators for our pre-1996 ecus.

did they ever make one that worked? i doubt it, those things have two boards. you would need two emulators and it would involve a lot of fine soldering

You’re right again. Lol I was mistaken that Moates had an emulator. Now that I’ve done much reading, I understand the magnitude of the task required to have real time tuning on the P66. But hey, I can dream right? Much thanks to you for the ability to flash the pcm safely! On to tune, log, repeat.
