    93 V6 flash

Looking for info on flashing 93 v6 (16172693) I find a lot for 93,94,95 lt1 but no v6. I have tuner pro RT with the P66-V6 files and scan9495-v6. I am able to connect and datalog. Mainly wanting to be able to turn off vats and other unneeded. I am running a 3400 FWD converted to RWD in a 79 MGB. I had the computer programed for me. Wanting to do another conversion and would like to do the programming myself.

I made some eehack v6 beta version for the 94-95 pcms.

Most of the stuff don`t work except for reading and some datalogging so just ignore the other functions.

Flash was bench tested on a 94 v6 pcm but no thorough tests were done.

You can try a test read to see how it goes. Don`t attempt any flashing yet, it uses slightly different bin file format.

Extract the files to the installation folder of the lt1 eehack v4.7 and run from there. On startup select the v6 definition included in the zip.

down loaded v4.9 and your v6 eehack, got them installed but cannot connect. Not sure if I am selecting v6 defenition correctly.
it doesn't show up when I select directory I have to go find it. I can connect to Tuner pro and scan 9495 so my connection should be ok.

    DATASTREAM ERR: No reply.
SERIAL ERR: Corrupt data in echo! Possibly a bad serial interface or noise on the bus.
This is what shows up in debug log.

    Still getting this error.
    DATASTREAM ERR: No reply.
SERIAL ERR: Corrupt data in echo! Possibly a bad serial interface or noise on the bus.
Replaced the end on my cable today, I connect to Tuner Pro and Scan9495 no problem.

Trying the ecm in the car (key on only and engine running) and one on the bench, the one on the bench is connected to a fully charged battery(charger disconnected when testing). Down loaded and installed eehack, down loaded v6 eehack and installed in eehack installation folder. open eehack go to settings and set file and select ee_definition_v6.csv and com3. click connect and it tries connecting but fails repeatedly. occasionally it looks like its trying to load, in the acq window it will start scrolling through different items like it is trying to but then fails. I tried moving the definition file to another folder and loading from there, no differance. This morning I noticed the plug on my cord was a little scetchy so soldered new one on. If I go into program files and open eehack_v6_w4_4 a small window opens with v6edit click connect and it says its connected but there is no data.
Hope that is not too much rambling.

The last step is good. We can work from there.

Open the eehack_v6_w4_4. You should see v6edition in the right bottom corner to confirm the version you are running. Than click settings and select the v6 definition file. A restart might be needed for the definition file to load properly.

Open again the exe and click connect, if the connection is good it should say connected, than click on datalog, you should see some data being logged.

If it is all good click on the flash button on the main screen. Than press download bin from ecm and follow instructions.

    Looking forward for feedback.

To help troubleshooting press debug from the main screen and mark verbose checkbox. Than you can copy the log to a text file and post it here for analysis.
