Power to LT1 PCM on bench question

I have a 16188051 PCM pinned up on a test bench setup. My first attempt to make a standalone system for a 94 LT1 engine I have. Is it ok to apply power to the PCM all at one time? That is there is a battery on all the time connection and the others that are on with start/run. I didn't know if I needed to apply the "battery" power first then the ignition power or if it mattered.

Thank you Steve. I'm going to use your program with a desktop. I have an old XP SP3 Laptop I was hoping would run your program but it won't install. Says it's not a 32 bit installer. I read in an old thread your were bailing on XP's but I thought when I downloaded the new version it said it would run on XP. If it won't that's OK. It will give me an excuse to buy a new laptop. Thanks

sorry, you will find running software from 2020 on 20 year old versions of any operating system to be a challenge even on a good day.

QT (a set of libraries I use to help write better software) stopped supporting XP years ago, so did i.

you can compile it against older versions but many people throw windows 7 laptops in the garbage that just need a hard drive or keyboard replaced, so it'd be easier just to get one of those, although windows 7 is now obsolete too, so who knows how long that'll last.

alternatively winflash from tunercat which is quite old supports windows xp still, it works fine for most people
