    92 Silverado ECM conversion

Hey guys I'm new here. I could use some of your knowledge. I have a 92 Silverado 5.7 /700r and I want to updrade my PCM to the later one so I can reuse the chip for tuning. I was just wandering which one to go with?

The are details and then there are even more details for upgrading the 92 Silverado computer! The 92 Silverado computer upgrade is not bolt on ... or ... plug - n - play.

The three basic rules for a computer upgrade are homework, followed with more homework and last but not least ... even more homework

If you have the budget, there is the option to use the Dynamic EFI EBL_Flash self tuning system: https://www.dynamicefi.com/EBL_Flash.php it's less homework and has auto tuning features.

The factory computer is less expensive, but requires HOMEWORK!

I often say ... the more you know about EFI the less you pay for EFI ... the more you know about EFI the faster your ride will go with EFI

Wow,thanks Dave. I'm definitely going with the dynamic efi. I never knew such a thing existed for TBI.

In my first post, I should have listed or identified the computer upgrade Homework assignment.

Step One - Homework, which computer to upgrade to.

Step Two - Homework, computer re-wiring requirements.

Step Three - Homework, Tuning hardware (chip programming / flashing) and Tuning software.

Dynamic EFI simplifies the computer upgrade Homework.

Last year I upgraded my 92 Silverado from 7747 to 7427. It's definitely doable - the information is there, but I wouldn't call it easy. And in the end, you still need to learn the 7427 (I had already used one for almost 10 years).

Edit: guess I missed your post about adopting dynamic. My bad!
