    yet another ls swap

    hey gang,
been lurking for a while as a guest and decided to join and be a bit more active.
current project is a 56 pickup with L98, running standalone ls1 loom and cable dual throttle body's. custom water to air intercooler internal in manifold.
looking at how adaptable the standard P59 ECU is as i have only used aftermarket ecu's in the past for this type of swap.
    looking forward to picking brains.
    cheers Dave

not 100% sure? it was running in car before i got it as salvaged vehicle. he had fitted the 6.0lt block and 5.7 accessories. so could have changed the tone wheels or re programmed? need to get a cable to pull the ecu info and see whats programmed. also need to put a new program in that has 2 bar map and remove vats. it also was running the maf. so will have to hunt around for a bin that will get me up and running b4 i do any real tuning.

I'm not familiar with the P59 ECU.

For a LSx engine using the 24x crank trigger and 1x cam trigger the factory LS1b computer (aka 12200411) is well supported by the aftermarket.

For a LSx engine using the 58x crank trigger and 4x cam trigger the factory E38 computer is well supported by the aftermarket.

There is the option to use the Lingenfelter 58x - 24x system: https://www.lingenfelter.com/product...l#.XfB9QOhKiM8

HP Tuners offers software for factory computer providing tuning parameters on engines using turbos. https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...ir-Differences

If you go with 24x crank / 1x cam triggers, the free LS1 Tuning Software is an option: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...uning-Software
