    Questions about $EE and an LT1 with a 700R4

I have a car with an LT1 and for whatever reason the previous owner installed a 700R4 instead of a 4L60E with it not being electronically controlled is my best bet to set .bin file as a manual?

There are too many difference between auto and manual bins. So my suggestion is to start with an 94 auto bin and set it to manual with the checkbox at 2026 $40 bit.

For the lock convertor to work there will be much more than that needed, but if wired correctly some patch might be developed.

Also too the pcm has a bin file 16209991. I check the vin on gm’s website and it said this was the correct calibration file. I couldn’t locate this cal in Steveo’s bin library and searches turned up nothing

I thought it was odd when I saw it. 4.3 or EEX was the first thing that came to mind but the VIN pulls up a 94 Camaro

"set it to manual with the checkbox at 2026 $40 bit." Im not sure how to do that

I scored a stock bin for you. It is also set for manual now. Check your gears, this one is for 2.73 final ratio.

The checkbox is located in the automitic transmission tab in eextra

Would there be a problem using the auto bin with the codes disabled for everything but the TCC? I'd think that would allow the PCM to still control the TCC once you wired the TCC to the PCM.

i remember trying that and the auto trans code is so intense that it persistenly threw errors and wouldn’t actuate the tcc

however that way WAY before ee was so well understood.

The main obstacle will be that the pcm doesn`t know on which gear the trans is, and there is no way to get it. Patching that will be really too much work with no clear results.

I just got the idea to just skip all the trans stuff and use the mph input to set a new table to lock the tcc just using the speed input and force unlock at certain conditions like brake apply. It might lock rough as hell but will work good as long as we have valid inputs for mph and brake switch. The switch bit for the tcc is well known and won`t hard to reconfigure at all.

I will need a guinea pig for this.
