Tunerpro RT and $EEHack Transmission datastream datalogging

I have searched these forums and have been able to find very little information on datalogging the transmission information in either of the programs listed above. Can anyone point me in the correct direction? In a related question, Tunerpro RT shows which gear is manually selected but I don't see an entry for actual gear. In $EEHack 4.70, the base Dash shows Transmission current gear and TCC lockup. Is $EEHack 4.70 calculating the current transmission gear using the Solenoid A and Solenoid B and current manually selected gear to determine the current transmission gear? Is this current gear option available in TunerPro RT in the standard datastream? Also, $EEHack doesn't seem to show the TCC/Brake Switch input unless I have overlooked this. I also tried looking through User Parameters but didn't see any pcm inputs.

Thanks,

mdavid thomas

Grab the latest beta version of EEHack (4.8.2) from the main EEHack website. Then once open, go to the Trans tab, and click the “Stream” button to enable streaming automatic transmission data. You can also move the slider under that to change how many transmission data points are displayed. This is the same for all tabs; stream activates the data stream, while snapshot retrieves a single frame of data for all data points on that tab. Do note that streaming more data slows the total data transfer rate down, so it’s best to pick one and stick with it.

This can of course be done with 4.70 too, but 4.8.2 is really quite nice.

what you might not see on the surface is there are multiple sets of data which are defined in the bin. if too much is transmitted the acquisition rate drops a lot so the messages are quite small. the logger requests a particular set of data for each frame. main message is what the dashboard is based on has basic transmission info only. eehack is really as good as it gets for dealing with simultaneous logging as you can control the rates but its still quite slow. you can use the user parameters on the bottom right of the dashboard to display four of them if you like. when the transmission message is streaming they’ll display.

    Steveo,

Thanks, I did try to use the user parameters. I wanted to add the TCC/BRAKE Switch to troubleshoot a TCC issue. However, since it is not shown in the configurable data choices I have to use extended data on the Main page to see it. The program is very good overall. I know most people are using it for tuning the engine instead of troubleshooting transmission issues. It would be great to have the TCC/BRAKE Switch shown in the Dash board under actuators or to be able to choose switches in the user parameter section. ;)

    Thanks

i do see why you can't use user parameters to display that. i forgot that it's available on the main message. the fact you can't display switches in the user parameters is a bug (i can't believe nobody noticed it) but i will fix that in the next version.

i also forgot that at one point there were too many bugs displaying multiple messages, so i restricted the data available on the dashboard to the main message. i think those bugs are a non-issue now.

can someone post a log that streams both the main and transmission message at the same time so I can do some testing and get that fixed for the next version?
