UR86D camaro TPI needs a little help

I'm looking for some suggestions as to what starting tune I could use in my 86 camaro TPI. I built a 355 small block with a semi aggressive camshaft, some alluminum heads, headers and a 3000 stall converter. I'm currantly using a $6E tune but having some difficulty. When I connect my autoprom up, its not linking up to the vehicle. Its not pulling any data so i'm unable to make changes. Any advice would be welcome.

If you are talking about reading data from the data stream. The 165 ECM is finicky. From what I remember connecting to one you have to flip the switch on the back to put it into ALDL mode. The Autoprom instructions should show which positions to have the switches in.
