Looking to datalog 1989 2.8/3.1 MPFI GM cars, 7730 ECM

Hello. New here. Been working on GM A-body cars for many years. Right now I have a couple 1989 models with 2.8 MPFI (swapped to 1989 3.1 MPFI), with 7730 ECM. Currently using a borrowed AutoXray scanner. I would like to get into better datalogging for cheap. Simple is best, and I can make a cable. Currently have an old Compaq laptop with serial and USB, it will run anything up to Windows 2k. Not enough memory or CPU to run TunerPro, but I'd be interested in some of the others. I see lots of things out there but lots of dead links too.

In comparison to everything else, a cheap laptop is your best way to go. Then you can run TPRT so most on this forum can help.
