Cool finally taking the plunge to learn the obd1 chip reading and modify

    Hey guys,

I'm finally taking the plunge to learn the obd1 chip reading and modifying.

Ive done a lot of factory flashing and tinkered with the obd2 stuff,

But given that we have 4 pre 96 Chevys here at our shop, and I want to learn how to do it myself.
    (93 3500 7.4 4l80e crew cab flatbed,93 caprice wagon 5.7 tbi,1992 Buick roadmaster 5.7 tbi,transplanted into a 82 bread truck convertible car show cruiser,
and a 93 gmc 1500 with transplant 93 454 SS truck running gears)

I just ordered the APU1 Autoprom package and and a couple xtra chips and sockets to play with.

I'm sure I'll need little help

Thanks for all the info y'all provide.

I'm sure you will do well with your venture into OBD1 Chip Programming.

Looks like you will have a mix of Chips 2732 (4K) and 27C512 (64K) you will be working with. Do you have UV Eraser for the 2732 chips?

Perhaps converting the 2732 chip to a 27SF512 chip would be a good plan? http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...sion-(27SF512)
