new post since I cannot edit title of last post, new is should "I buy this with pic"

OK went and found this today but it is a re-manufactured one
and price is 41.55 + tx plus now they are charging an env. fee.
So maybe a little under fifty dollars. Out of a 95 s10 4.3 auto.
    going into (hopefully) a 92 s10 4.3 700r4.
Or should I keep looking? Prices around here all about the same.

Thanks for any suggestions, help, flames, donations not picky...

"The 7427 seems to be preferred over the 8625 and 6395.
Have not converted yet, found an 8625 in the local p and p.
However since there may be more support here for a 7427 in case
I run into problems does anyone have a list of what might have one.
I did a search and didn't really find anything maybe I missed something.
Thanks in advance to all the great people on this forum."

"OK found some of the applications that used the 7427 by checking out the similar threads section below my post.
Found a post reply by dave w that linked to a post by EagleMark. I read he passed away sorry to hear that.
Yet he is still helping and remembered on this forum.
Thanks to EagleMark and dave w."

I just purchased an engine that came with a 6395. Tried looking up the BCC but couldn't fine it under the 6395 bin files. Looked for the BCC in 7427 bin files and there it was, so with that said 8625 and the 6395 can run any of the 7427 BCCs.

Hi stew Thanks for your reply to my post.
Should have titled my post "Should I take a chance on this rebuilt 7427 ECM?" in after thought.

i don't really like reman ecms... who knows what happened to that core? ecms are really hard to kill, so... did it get nuked by a really bad voltage spike or something? stuff like that is often a cascade failure of discrete components, and did the reman place actually fix all the components that didn't show damage but might be weakened?

    i'd rather a wrecker ecm

Hi steveo, Thanks kinda what I was thinking.
Went to the other local pick and pull to look after Easter service. should have checked their website first.... closed today.
Will continue looking first chance I get.
Put some hints in my post hope I didn't break any forum rules by putting the price in the post.
On the off chance someone might have one they want to part with. Haven't been any in the buy sell forum for awhile.
So no idea what the going rate for a 7427 is currently.

Hi Playing Thanks for taking the time to post that link.
Currently the only two on there in my price range both appear to be rebuilt ones looking at the labels on them.
