    Function Menu

    What would the correct process be to deduce or increase a cell value (or multiple cells at the same time)
    example; in a VE table say I want to reduce a value by a set percentage, say 5% across a group of cells.

    Do I use the offset (+ -) command, smooth,multiply, divide or ????

    Mutiply or divide.

    If you want to increase a cell by 5% divide by .95 and vise versa decrease multiply by .95

    Offset + or - will move the cell up or down a whole number that you enter in.

    first divide your observation by your target... lets say you have 138 trims in a log, and target is 128 (normal target)

    138/128=1.078 (or in other words, +7.8%)

    take the areas that you observe are affected by that, and multiply by 1.078 (or in other words, increase by 7.8%)

    There is another way to take the existing BLM divided by 128 and multiply to the current VE value to get the corrected VE value. So if your log reveals a BLM of 138 youre shooting for 128 and your VE value is 45 then the corrected VE value should be 48.5

    ie 138 / 128 x 45 = 48.5

    Been a while so someone correct me if i'm wrong, math isnt my best friend.

    Both this and steveo's formula yields the same result.

    I my case the blm is always low yet my wide band always shows a near prefect afr. I just get bothered when I watch the live data and see blm's in the 110-115 range and even dropping the the minimum number set in the bin.

    The BLM is the ecm/pcm correcting to maintain stoich.

    Above 128 the ecm/pcm is adding fuel to reach stoich, below 128 it is subtracting fuel to reach stoich.

    So high or low BLM, so long as in an acceptable range, is going to show stoich on wideband.
